Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your booking and use of services at The Morecambe Hotel, operated by TMH (Morecambe) Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). Please read them carefully. By making a booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Dining for Hotel Guests
- Accommodation is on a bed & breakfast basis only.
- Dinner is available by reservation; please call 01524 415 239 to book as soon as possible.
2. Hotel Check‑In
- You must complete a Residents Card (legal requirement) and show photo ID (driver’s licence or passport) plus proof of address (utility bill).
3. Room Bookings & Cancellations
- Full payment is taken in advance.
- Cancellations made at least 7 days before arrival receive a full refund.
- Cancellations within 7 days, no‑shows and early departures are non‑refundable.
4. Incidentals & Payment Methods
- Bar and restaurant charges may be paid immediately or held on your payment method until checkout or when charges reach £100, whichever comes first.
- We may pre‑authorise your card to cover incidentals.
5. Damages & Valuables
- You are liable for loss or damage to room items; we may charge your payment method post‑checkout.
- Each room is equipped with a safe for your valuables.
6. Accessibility
- Our Grade II‑listed building (built 1828) has no lift; bedrooms are on the 1st and 2nd floors (stairs only).
- Ground‑floor access to reception, the Garden Room and accessible WC via ramp.
- Please request luggage assistance if required.
7. Dogs & Pets
- Only assistance dogs are allowed in carpeted or lawn areas.
- Well‑behaved dogs are welcome in the bar and on the patio.
8. Children
- Children under 18 (not staying overnight) may visit public areas until 21:00 when accompanied by an adult.
- Families with children over 18 may request adjacent rooms on the same floor (subject to availability).
- Children under 18 must stay with a responsible adult.
9. Room Allocation
- We reserve the right to change your room assignment up until arrival.
10. Parking & Drop‑Off
- Public car park (~70 yards away) opposite the street.
- You may stop at the door briefly to unload luggage.
11. Visitors
- Visitors are welcome in the bar, restaurant, snug and garden only; not on 1st or 2nd floors.
12. Smoking
- Strictly prohibited indoors.
- Designated smoking area on the external rear patio only.
13. Restaurant Group Bookings
- For parties of 8 or more, pre‑orders are required.
- Please arrive punctually to ensure service quality.
14. Data Protection
- We process your data under the Data Protection Act 2018 & UK GDPR.

15. Force Majeure
Neither we nor you are liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g. fire, flood, pandemic, government action).
16. Third‑Party Bookings
If you book via an online travel agent (e.g. Expedia, Booking.com), their terms also apply. We are not liable for any errors on those platforms.
17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
18. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. “Last updated” will reflect the revision date. Material changes will be notified by email if you have opted in.
